Are you planning a new wellness area or looking to extend your spa in style? The Ludwig & Sons pool house is the perfect solution. Depending on your preferences, it can be built as a conservatory or orangery – with a glazed roof or flat roof, optionally with a roof lantern. The flat roof is constructed using highly insulating timber frame technology, whilst the glazed sections feature our premium wood-aluminium system. A variety of window and door options, including pivot or folding doors, allow for expansive openings and seamless transitions between inside and out. Dimensions, colours, details and much more can be individually configured. Whether attached to an existing building or freestanding in the garden – every Ludwig & Sons pool house is a unique creation and, more often than not, the crowning feature of the property.
The Best of Both Materials
As with all Ludwig & Sons projects, our premium wood-aluminium system is also at the heart of every pool house. The load-bearing structure is crafted from solid timber and clad on the exterior with powder-coated aluminium – combining the natural warmth of timber inside with the refined appearance and weather resistance of aluminium outside. This system unites the advantages of both materials and offers an exceptional degree of individual configuration. Every unique creation is subsequently handcrafted in our own production facility.

Outstanding thermal insulation
The Ludwig & Sons wood-aluminium system is characterised by consistent thermal separation, which – in combination with triple insulating glazing – guarantees excellent thermal insulation values. Specialist coatings and materials make the system ideally suited to the demanding climatic conditions of a pool environment. The flat roof is constructed using ecological timber frame methods and meets the high structural requirements of a wellness space. Taken together, the systems installed achieve an outstanding energy performance – making them particularly well suited to pool houses used as indoor swimming facilities.
Victorian style
The Victorian style from Ludwig & Sons is characterised by its extraordinary attention to detail, which lends every building an elegant character. Characteristic of this historic style are the many variations of glazing bars and intricate decorations such as mouldings, small capitals, millings, fillings, ornamentation and rosettes. A Ludwig & Sons pool house can be realised as an extension, a freestanding outbuilding, a pool enclosure or a fully equipped indoor swimming facility. Depending on the intended use, different requirements need to be taken into account – for an indoor pool, for example, optimal ventilation and dehumidification are essential. In collaboration with your local pool builder, we can incorporate these requirements directly into the design, including a dedicated plant room for pool and dehumidification technology. Individual wishes, such as an integrated sauna area, can also be accommodated. The possibilities with our construction system are virtually limitless.

Indoor pool
Whether in central or northern Europe – from autumn through to spring, the weather can be cold and inhospitable. A Ludwig & Sons pool house makes the indoor swimming facility usable throughout the year, thanks to its outstanding thermal insulation. The expansive glazed surfaces offer impressive panoramic views of the garden and surrounding landscape, whilst individually configurable windows and doors can be opened wide, allowing the boundaries between inside and outside to dissolve seamlessly. The pool can thus be enjoyed to the full in summer and winter alike.
Outdoor pool
Where the pool is situated separately in the garden, a pool house can be built as an extension to an existing building or as a standalone outbuilding. In this way, the terrace, for example, becomes usable all year round. In summer, windows and doors open wide, creating a direct connection to the pool and allowing the indoor and outdoor areas to merge into one impressive spa landscape. After swimming, the fully appointed living spaces of the pool house offer the perfect retreat – even in winter, thanks to the outstanding thermal insulation.
